We are a small lab working where network science, topology, neuroscience, animal communication and AI meet. If the questions on this site pull at you, I want to hear from you.

How we work

Read the lab manual first. It is part reference, part social contract, and it says plainly what we care about: rigorous, creative, honest science; generosity with ideas and credit; being curious before being correct.

The motto is head down and push through. That means sustained, focused effort, not nights and weekends, and not performing busyness. It also means asking for help when you need it. That is how hard problems actually get solved.

PhD students

Your dissertation research is your primary job. We meet every week or two, you present your work early and often, and you apply for fellowships, with my help. Challenge me when I am wrong. That is why you are here.

If you want to do a PhD with us, write to me with a few lines on what you want to work on and why, and your CV. Tell me what excites you, not what you think I want to hear.

Postdocs

Open positions appear on this page when we have them. You would drive your own line of research, mentor students for real, and apply for your own funding with my support. If there is no open call but you want to apply for a fellowship to join us, get in touch early.
